Holiday Shopping For Home Cooks

The holiday season is upon us. As we hunker down for the Winter and move from Thanksgiving to Christmas, we also start to think about the presents we can find for our loved ones. Maybe even you want to send a hint to that special someone on things you might like. Today, I am going to help you find a gift that might be just right for the cook in your family. I will offer up a few gift suggestions in a few different price ranges. So, check out all of these gifts and even if you do not buy them, perhaps this list will inspire you to find the right present for the right person.

Christmas Gifts For The Home Cook

0 – $50 Gift Price Range

Fifty Shades of Bacon

Coming in just over $10, Fifty Shades of Bacon is a silly gift that is meant to be fun. Guess what? I even wrote it!! I wrote it with my friend Jenna over at Recipe Diaries. This is a nice and funny stocking stuffer or maybe even a good White Elephant gift.

Julia Child – Mastering the Art of French Cooking

I have been enamored with Julia Child lately and this was the first cookbook that she wrote. Much of it was written in France and Julia really had an extraordinary life that I continue to learn about. Of course, we can celebrate her awesomeness by cooking like her and this classic cookbook might be the right gift for the food aficionado in your family!

A Food Thermometer

Here is the thing about thermometers and cooks… we all need them. Even if we don’t think we need them, we should still have one around. For as many people who feel they can test a steak’s doneness by touch, when you are working for perfection, why would you want to risk it. Even around Thanksgiving and Christmas, we need a thermometer to get spot on temps to prevent our turkey breasts from becoming dry. This is an awesome, and reasonably priced gift, that many home cooks would love.

$50 On Up Gift Ideas For The Home Cook

Looking for that awesome gift for mom, dad, or your spouse? Look here. These are the kinds of gifts that get me drooling and your loved one may too.

KitchenAid Mixer

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my KitchenAid. I think I have had mine now for about 6 years and it still does the job just fine. And as a person that makes his own bread, I think mine gets more use than the average home. If you are looking for that shiny toy (mine is candy apple red) for your kitchen and a way to the center of your loved ones heart, consider a Kitchen Aid. If you really want to go all out, make sure to check out the pasta maker, meat grinder, or any of the other attachments that make this machine so awesome.

Instant Pot

Instant Pots are ALL THE RAGE. You can do anything in them. You can cook anything and everything in them. People love em and you can do some really neat things with these pseudo pressure cookers. One of the great things is that you can replace other kitchen gadgets with them. You no longer need a rice cooker, as you have the Instant Pot.

Weber Genesis Grill

Yes, this is a big ticket item, but that cook in your family is worth a big ticket item, right? Not only that, you are buying this straight from Weber on Amazon and it looks like you might get free assembly! I have a Weber grill and I love it. Not only does it cook stuff really well, I know that this is a brand known for longevity. If you need a part in 10 years, it is almost assured that you will be able to find it. Weber really is a best-in-class brand and your loved one will too! Click on the image to check out more.

My list is brief, but it is to the point. We have some really good shopping ideas for the loved ones in your life and I hope you check them out. If you don’t buy one of these things, I hope it leads you to something even better. Happy shopping and I hope that cook in your family gets a great Christmas gift!
