The temps here in North Dakota have been awesome and Summertime cocktails have been on my mind. We have been working on a deep dive of Sangria and before we get too far into a topic, I like to take a post to primer myself. I am going to look at, and celebrate, the sweet alcoholic drinks of Summertime. So, please enjoy these recipes from my fellow food and cocktail bloggers that have perfected some sweet alcoholic drinks!
I keep a close eye on Jay and Leah’s blog, as they are always drinking good drinks, traveling all over, and making spectacular food. This Fall in Paradise cocktail pulls together pineapple and rum to make a PERFECT sweet alcoholic drink that is just right for warm summer days. Look at it. It is beautiful!
Amanda’s Singapore Sling is a deck drink. An easy and sweet Summertime adult cocktail that is perfect for a hot Spring or Summer day. One thing I love about this post is that Amanda is sharing her dad’s recipe and it is always fun to sip down on a bit of heritage, as well as a cooling summer drink. Most certainly a recipe worth repeating… perhaps a few times. 🙂
There is so much that I love about this post. Kelly took some beautiful photos of the drink and some killer pictures of these monster hamburgers. All of it looks so yummy and makes me want to fire the grill up. This hibiscus cocktail is getting saved into my sweet alcoholic drinks list for regular rotation. It says it is a Fall cocktail, but I am going with this all summer long. This looks great.
This is so good. The ingredient list of this drink includes bourbon, peaches, and sweet tea. I am not from the south, but I feel like this one might bring me to a Southern porch, swinging on one of those bench swings, just watching the afternoon go by. Samantha’s drink is a winner.
Renz is talking about the beautiful island of Martinique in this post and maybe we can bring a bit of it to where you are with this beautiful Orange Juice, rum, and guava juice cocktail. It has me itching to go to the store and get some guava juice.
I have a tough time talking about Summer flavors without touching on watermelon, so I had to include this in my list of sweet alcoholic drinks for Summertime. Jill walks you through making watermelon juice (it’s easy) and then how to make this classic and tasty Watermelon Margarita.
These six cocktails gave me plenty to consider for my cocktails in the near future. So many sweet alcoholic drinks that are perfect for hot summer days and these all fit the bill. You should really take some time to go these sites and check these recipes out. All of them are great blogs that share spectacular recipes, so I hope you try one or two before coming back to Ramshackle Pantry and getting your Sangria on.
