This is an Indian Inspired Lamb Burger! Imagine juicy lamb bursting with spices, all tucked inside a soft bun. But wait, there’s more! We’re topping it off with a cool mint yogurt sauce that’s like a party for your mouth. Trust me, this is one burger adventure you don’t want to miss!

  • 1/2 cup minced cilantro, minced ( about 15 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

  • 56 mint leaves (about 56 leaves or 34 g), minced

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix mint yogurt sauce ingredients sauce in dish and put in fridge.
  2. Mix lamb, cilantro, garam masala, ginger, salt, and pepper together and patty into three burgers
  3. Heat grill to medium-high and put burgers over direct heat for four to five minutes.
  4. Flip and cook for another four to five minutes or until internal temperatures reach 160° Fahrenheit
  5. Remove from grill, add to bun with onion, lettuce, and mint yogurt sauce. Serve!

Notes

  • A charcoal grill is great for this recipe, as the flavor really lends itself to the lamb.
  • I have made this with an 80/20 ground burger with good outcome
  • If you don’t like an ingredient, omit it!
  • When shopping, choose the fattier lamb
  • If you choose to cook your lamb burger to medium-rare, the internal temperature should be 145 degrees Fahrenheit.  If you are looking for medium, cook to 150° Fahrenheit. Cook them to the temp you like, but know that the safe temp is 160° Fahrenheit.
