Scale
- 2-4 ounces fresh ginger, washed and roughly chopped
- 5 cups water
- 4 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- Add ginger and water to a medium pot.
- Bring to a boil and boil for 15 minutes.
- Let cool and transfer to a mason jar. Strain out the ginger first if desired; otherwise, leave the pieces in and avoid pouring them into your mug.
- When ready to serve, add ginger water to a mug, heat, and then add honey.
- Store any remaining ginger water in the refrigerator and use within one week.
Notes
- A mason jar is a great way to store the tea in your refrigerator.
- While some may want to remove the skin from the ginger, I put it right in there. There is nothing wrong with the skin.
