- 6 medium unpeeled cucumbers (about 6 cups sliced), sliced
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup white vinegar (5% acidity)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 onion, thinly sliced

- Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl
- Let stand in the refrigerator for 24 hours or overnight
- Serve
