We just finished up our food series on the hotdish and I am feeling like something a little less family friendly. Let’s open up the bar and explore the Greyhound cocktail. We are going to spend the next few weeks diving deep into the flavors of a greyhound. Gin, Vodka, and grapefruit are the main culprits in this cocktail and we do our best to make the best greyhound we can.

Grapefruits are not a common item in our home, but every once in a while I like to bring a few of them from the store. Usually, sugar goes on them or they go in a drink. For this drink series, nothing is off limits.

What We will Cover In Greyhound Cocktail Series

If you have not visited Ramshackle Pantry before, we spend several weeks looking into a cocktail or dish. We will closely look at the ingredients that goes into the Greyhound, we will look at other recipes from across the internet, try and find out how the drink originated, and then, of course, we are going to try to make the best Greyhound we can. The goal is to really get in touch with the spirit and heritage of the subject to make the best one we can. If you want to know more, check out the Start Here page where I say a bit more about my modus operandi.

So, sit tight, my wonderful readers! Subscribe to receive new posts via email, follow me on Pinterest, and check back regularly to get the latest and greatest from Ramshackle Pantry.

I dig food and drink. One thing I really enjoy is digging deep into recipes and history. I like to think that I have an L.A. face and an Oakland bootie, but nobody has ever really verbalized it before. They are probably thinking it. Find out more in the About page.
